Fresh snow

Fresh snow
More snow fell during the night, but it was +0.5 this morning. Ideal for Otto's skiing lesson. It took A LOT of persuasing to get him to go but in the end he enjoyed it - as we said he would :-)))

Skating
The thickness of the ice on the lake was measured yesterday : 20cm on average, which meant that the skridskorsbana (ie the ice-skating path) was ploughed and extended for the weekend. We packed Poppy under woolly blankets and took our equipment with us,...

Alright, it is that time of year...Poppy has to stay at home because of an eye infection. As I am taking care of her, I realise that we both could do with a bit of fresh (!) air. The thermometer indicates -10 but it is very sunny, so off we go, well-wrapped...

Iced café
Quite amazing to think that just a few months ago we were stopping by our little café by the water to eat ice-creams...as it was so hot! A bit more chilly now! About -7 today, quite nice after last Friday's -18.

Just before Christmas Lili finished her textile project at school. She designed, painted, machine-embroidered this cushion cover, over many hours. Not bad eh? Funny how it reminds me of a book which we used to read a lot some 10 years ago - Lili la libellule...
