Strong enough

Strong enough
...was the ice, after a whole week of minus temperatures. So it was time to try out the ice-skating path cleared on the lake - it might not last till next weekend even, as positive figures are announced. Pete, Otto and Lili skated a few laps, together...

Cold outside...

Cold outside...
Minus temperatures this weekend, after a bit of snow on Thursday. Spending icicles along the lake. But a bit too cold to stay out there for more than an hour or two, even well-wrapped up. Lovely light in the sun though.

Welcome to Flash and Basil!

Welcome to Flash and Basil!
Finally they have arrived! Our two kittens, whose names we had decided a long while ago: Flash (grey nose) and Basil (white nose). Not so easy to distinguish one from the other to start with, but we are getting better. Poppy has responded really well...

Two small fluffy things, half Siberian forest kittens! We met them last Sunday and are going to adopt them into our family. Sweet, no? More about this new adventure at the weekend...

...we like snow! It finally arrived on Tuesday and we were looking forward to the weekend, to make the most of it as it might not stay long. With the added bonus of bright sunshine it was wonderful to go for a walk / crosscountry skiing in the woods...

Svartsjö in winter
Today was grey and slow, it was the perfect day for tea and cakes at Svartsjöslott! A bit indulgent, but we had the cakes first and went for a walk afterwards, to ease our conscience... cold wind and ice on the pond, brrrrr...

It feels like we hardly see the light at the moment as it is dark when we go to work and dark already mid-afternoon. But today we got to see and enjoy the sun as it was Sunday and we had planned to go for a walk on Gällstaö to catch the sun! We filled...
