Thank you Grandmere!!!!
Now I've done a few sums, it sounds even more impressive! Here is a summary of what Grandmere has done for us over the last 4 weeks:
- made around 320 cups of tea, with and without milk, green and black;
- cooked about 50 meals, and that's not including breakfasts;
- prepared, give or take, 60 bottles for Pops;
- helped Poppy feed herself on 45 occasions;
- taken the girls to and from school everyday for 20 days;
- changed...countless unsavoury nappies;
- got up every morning between 5 and 6 am, as Poppy was woken up by Swedish daylight;
- played for hours with Pops and her blocks/balloons/boxes/cooking things;
- read dozens of French books to Lili;
- assisted Lili while she made pastry/crumble/ice lollies
- shown Lili how to grow lentils/embroider/"knit"...
...and the list is far from being complete! Grandmere's presence has also meant cuddles, laughter, long chats, and all the things a grandmere/mum is great for.
So, the least we can do is say a huge
thank you !!!!!!!!
to Grandmere for all her help and support when we needed it most! Come back anytime!
[In the meantime, we're going to come and invade you for a few weeks ;-)]
