Överjärva Gård
Blessed with a wonderfully sunny day we went outside the city a bit to explore Överjärva Gård, a former working farm now converted into a place where families can enjoy a walk around old traditional buildings, stroke a few sheep, ride poneys, say hello to pigs and chickens...and get a decent lunch in a friendly cafe hosted in former stables. In the summer some workshops are open to the public, where one can get tips on how to renovate ancient buildings and even get hold of spare parts. A nice antique shop as well.
Once we had gone round the area we decided to pursue a bit further - it was so pleasant to be out and about in such fantastic light (though the temperature was just above zero, as seen from the frost from the night still present everywhere). Our steps took us to Ulrikdals Slott, which was closer than we had imagined.
Darkness wrapped us tight around 4pm, it was time to go back home for a cup of tea. I even made a crumble, as it seemed particularly appropriate.
