By the lakes

Could spring be here? A few signs, undoubtedly: crocuses, snow-drops, (almost) no ice on the lakes in Stora Skuggan...We paid a visit to the farm to see if we could stroke a couple of bouncy lambs - indeed three little baby lambs were just born the previous night but therefore would be kept indoors for a day or so. Lili understood, so did Otto. Everyone was cheered up by the sight of two friendly poneys who agreed to be patted by many a little hand.

Ducks, geese, swans were taking the sun, so were we. We even had lunch outdoors at Skafferiet, and had to treat everyone to our first outdoor ice-cream cone of the season. The first of a long series, no doubt!

...fluttering and dancing in the breeze." I think the poem refers to daffodils but could just as easily be describing Lili, Otto and Pops' day out. Nice to see the lakes not frozen and some sunshine. It was super, too, to get my very own 'birthday' video-clip!! Thanks for that, A-K, it was a very nice idea. Thanks, too, to Pete for his surprise visit here yesterday.
