Nobel parken

Today was a day to explore the archipelago, we thought. But when we turned up at the boat terminal with our packed picnic, we discovered that the season would not start for another two weeks...True enough, the water was still icy only a fortnight ago but...we were a tad disappointed and had to come up with a plan-B. We went for a walk along Strandvägen - since that's where we were - and carried on to Nobel parken. Easy to find a picnic spot amongst the little spring flowers and by the water - more swans and ducks, and this week we had bread! Otto had been told we would go to a beach so he was not to be talked out of taking his socks off and going for a paddle...Lili imitated him soon after, of course. A bit later we came across a fantastic maze of trees, some fallen some alive, which were the ideal place to climb, hide, and build a koja (hiding place / bivouac type of thing).

No islands but a pretty good day out!
