Better soon

While Otto's chicken pox rash has almost disappeared, our Poppy has been hit by a particularly violent bout of the same disease - completely unpredictable how the same virus can cause such different symptoms! Poor Pops is now hopefully out of the worse phase which made her very, very unwell over the last few days. She is still frightfully covered in uncomfortable blisters but her temperature is under control, it seems.

All this has meant a slightly disrupted weekend (we even had the visit of an ambulance on Sunday, since we could not take Poppy anywhere as she was contagious... - Lili was very excited by that, but Otto missed it all as he was asleep!) with not much happening apart from nursing Pops. As Otto was beginning to suffer from cabin-fever I took him to the park, despite the threatening clouds. Sure enough, we got drenched, caught by the storm, but it did us good to run around a bit in the rain...

Glad Pops is better and hope the spots go away soon. We are at Glyndebourne on Saturday I(with a late night!) and Dudley and Jean are coming for cup of tea Sunday afternoon, so Skype might be tricky....you could always ring us first and see?
Love from Rosemary

Thanks for your kind words! Poppy is much better now, nearly back to her normal self in spirits, but well spotty still...Hopefully she should be able to resume her sandpit activities by the beginning of next week - which is when she meets her new special assistant, Sara!
We might be able to Skype some time over the weekend?
Take care,
Love from us all here!

So sorry to hear that Pops has been so unwell with the chicken pox! What a stressful time you have had. Do hope she will be back to normal soon and that you can get some normality back. Give her a special hug (but not too tight!) from Grandma and Grandad
xx xx
