South park
Incredible sunshine woke us up this morning! The thermometre was not too alarming at -2, so it sounded perfect for a little trip to the south island, Södermalm. We wanted to experience a new park, inaugurated last July, with a deliberate focus on "what a simple village looked like in the not so distant past" - all in miniature, as destined to the under 5.
The place was great fun, very faithful to basic Swedish rural life, in a pocket-size form. A lot of details were interestingly added, to give an extra feel of realism: real tools, crockery, even wallpaper inside the one-storey house! We spent a bit of time trying out the different houses but we soon got a bit cold and tired of the thick sheet of ice covering the ground: everywhere was soooooooo slippery!
We were so cold that we did not have the energy to look too much for a place to eat - we were starving too -, so we ended up in a Greek restaurant, a welcome tribute to warmer times in our lives :-)
