Colourful

A colourful weekend we've just had, indeed! It started on Friday afternoon, with Lili inviting three friends to sleep over, on the occasion of her 11th birthday. Lili's friends had a secret plan: to turn Lili's bedroom into a beauty salon and give Lili a special spa and beauty treatment... They even came with cucumber and mangos, dozens of bottles and boxes, they were very busy and a lot of giggling seemed to come from that room for hours (as well as rich fragrances, all mixed with each other...hhmmm, we ended up opening the window wide for a moment as they would have had trouble sleeping  in such an atmosphere!

On Saturday we took everyone to the cinema for the first show of "Mr Peabody and Sherman" at 11am, followed by pizza back at home. When our guests were gone, Otto had to be taken to a party, just as Grand-mère was arriving from France! Not a dull moment!

This morning, Sunday, was THE day for Lili's birthday, officially 11 today at 8.26am British time. Amazing to believe that this tall girl was once a mere 54cm long newborn :-)

Lili wished to go to the Botanical Gardens, which I had first suggested, not knowing what the weather would be like. It turned out incredibly sunny and warm, so I was not that desperate to stay inside a greenhouse that much, but both Lili and Otto were set on the idea, so this is what we did after all. But to get there we could establish, as we walked around Brunnsviken, that crocuses were out, as well as various local yellow flowers. It was so pleasant to be outside, without freezing nor getting drenched. Finally the winter could be over? Much earlier than last year, then. No one to complain, I can imagine...
