Vikings, woods and funny mushroom

This morning we discovered Vikings behind our house! A little exhibition of viking customs and tools, as well as story-telling and "prova på" (i e "try your hand at") stations. Otto and Pete tried on helmets and Poppy was curious about swords. 

After lunch we went to the woods, picked a few apples on the way (not many this year, but enough for tomorrow's crumble) and had a quick anarchic game of family football outside Ekebyhovslott. On the field, funny purple mushrooms. If the sun is still around tomorrow we might plan a longer ramble.

I think it should read "Funny Vikings"!! The helmets look quite intimidating, even when you know the people wearing them!! Glad you are still finding lots to do in Ekero. Rosemary/Mum/Grandma XXxxx
