Beaver quest

Today was busy with a birthday party for Otto, washing to do, a lot of rain in the morning but when the sun came out after lunch we went for a walk to our secret new beach. No ice on the water today, but quite a few surprises on the way as we discovered sure signs of an unexpected animal presence in the area: several fallen trees with clear teeth marks on them, and some droppings that we identified as those left by a ...beaver! Exciting stuff! Apparently they have become fairly common in many regions of middle Sweden. We were hoping to see one but this did not happen. Maybe another time!
