Animal rain
We felt a bit cheated when we woke up this morning: copious rain ans clouds, just as the weekend started, after what had felt like a long week...(Poppy is back at pre-school, at last and Lili has had her "back to school" ceremony so things are taking shape a bit more). A pity for Kulturfestivalen, due to end this weekend, with lots of outdoor events that must have drowned in drizzle all day, poor them!
Faced with such challenging meteorological conditions, we opted for "the dinosaur museum", as Lili calls it. We were not the only parents to have such an idea...Gosh, the place was heaving with families sheltering from the rain! After a nice lunch but a long queue at the ticket office, we finally reached the animals! The T-rex skeleton was there, to Otto's delight (Otto is fascinated with skeletons at the moment for some reason), so were the giant whale and the stuffed polar bears and other creatures.
We were quite tired after this session of natural science - too busy, loud and stuffy in there! But the penetrating rain caught upon us again as we were walking home, so there was no real chance to escape the greyness of the day. Oh well, maybe a ray of light tomorrow?
