Visitors, ABBA and good laughs
What a busy weekend! We had the surprise of an unexpected visit from Michelle and Julie, plus a bonus friend, Laura! All three arrived on Friday night for an exotic escapade in beautiful Stockholm :-)
Our Saturday was relaxed and uneventful, as dictated by the sunny weather which invited us to just go for a stroll down Gamla Stan, to admire the sights. Touristy, indeed, but nothing beats a peaceful walk along the water with a stop here and there for an ice-cream, a cup of tea and/or a piece of cake.
On Sunday we were a little bit more organised: the ABBA museum was the dream destination for the Julie and Laura, who are apparently preparing a Mamma Mia performance (in French!) due next December in their school. So we all went to discover the newly-opened attraction, which corresponded fairly faithfully to our expectations: lots of music, opportunities to dance (ridiculously) to old hits, to play drums, piano and guitar, tons of artefacts from the band's successful career and tours, glimpses of costumes, 70's shoes and so on and so forth... Everyone had a laugh and we followed the experience with a little promenade around Djurgården to release even more energy.
