Touchy-feely
Otto's at home again today...We had thought he was fit enough to go to school yesterday but obviously he was not : felt very tired after his day and woke up in the middle of the night with a temperature of 39.3. Shucks. So home again with Mummy, lucky boy.
After the morning delivery of Lili and Pops (which meant struggling one km each way with the pushchair through 30cm of snow...I can confirm that it keeps one warm even when it's only -8 outside!), we watched a few Peppa Pig cartoons, played a bit, tickled each other, giggled copiously, had lunch, had a rest and then...I had to find something to entertain M. Grumpy-after-waking-up. So I got mini pots and spoons out, a bit tray, and provided a selection of textures for the young gentleman to experiment with. A spoonful of rice, one of flour, a bit of dry popcorn, a handful of silver sugar balls, a pinch of chocolate powder, some polenta to add a bit of yellow...and Otto had fun for almost an hour!
After this touchy-feely session the kitchen was in a bit of a need of a good hoovering but we had had super fun!
